Tailgate Chili
16 ounces ground beef 1 large onion (diced) 1 green pepper (diced) 3 cloves garlic, minced 1 15 onnce can of red kidney beans (rinsed and draind) 1 15 ounce can diced tomatoes in juice 3 teaspoons chili powder 1/2 teaspoon pepper 1/2 teaspoon dried basil crushed red peppers (to taste) In a large saucepan, cook ground beef, onion, green pepper, and garlic. Drain excess fat when beef is brown. Stir in everything else and check for anything laying around to throw in there. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 20 minutes.
